There are two males and two females ready for their new families. Known for their quiet nature, they do not bark, are hypoallergenic, and require minimal maintenance. Each puppy is registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC), microchipped, vaccinated, and comes with a health certificate. The asking price is $2,500. About the Basenji
The Basenji, known as the 'barkless dog,' is an ancient African breed that produces an unusual yodel-like sound called a 'baroo' instead of barking. These elegant, cat-like dogs are independent, intelligent, and notoriously difficult to train. Basenjis groom themselves like cats and have minimal odor. They're alert, energetic dogs with strong prey drive and impressive jumping ability, requiring secure fencing. Basenjis can be aloof with strangers but form strong bonds with their families. They're playful and curious, often getting into mischief if bored. Early socialization is important as they can be reserved or aggressive toward other dogs. Their short coat is easy to maintain. Basenjis are best suited to experienced dog owners who appreciate their unique, independent nature and can provide consistent training and supervision.
