They have wonderful personalities (great temperaments), are very friendly, and have been well-socialized since birth.

Beagles can be vocal, with a characteristic howl called a bay. They're food-motivated, which helps with training, but also means they're prone to obesity if not carefully monitored. Their short coat requires minimal grooming.
