Rough Border Collie x Blue Heeler puppies born May 5, 2025. They are 8 weeks old and ready to go to their new homes now. There are 3 males left. Puppies have received their first Distemper/Parvo shots and have been dewormed. Each puppy comes with the blue crate shown in the pictures. Just pick up your puppy in the crate and take them home. We’re not breeders—this was an accidental litter and mom is being spayed. We just want them to go to good, loving homes. Not trying to make money, so the small rehoming fee is negotiable. The Border Heeler is a designer mixed breed resulting from crossing a Border Collie with an Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler). This combination creates an exceptionally intelligent and driven working dog that inherits the herding instincts and work ethic of both parent breeds.

Border Heelers are medium-sized dogs with athletic builds and often striking coat patterns. They may inherit the Border Collie's medium-length coat or the Australian Cattle Dog's shorter coat, and colors can range from blue or red heeler patterns to traditional Border Collie black and white or tri-color markings. These dogs are built for endurance and agility.

This hybrid is known for extraordinary intelligence and trainability, often ranking among the smartest mixed breeds. Border Heelers are intensely loyal and form strong bonds with their families. However, they have very high energy levels and strong herding instincts, which can manifest as nipping at heels, particularly with children or other pets. These dogs need experienced owners who understand working breeds.

Border Heelers require substantial daily exercise and mental stimulation – a simple walk is rarely enough. They excel in dog sports like agility, herding trials, flyball, and obedience. Without adequate outlets, they can become destructive or develop behavioral problems. These dogs thrive in active homes with jobs to do and space to run. Grooming needs are moderate, with regular brushing required. Not suitable for first-time dog owners or sedentary lifestyles.
