Cheagle

The Cheagle is a charming designer mix between a Chihuahua and a Beagle, blending two distinctly different temperaments into one spirited companion. This breed displays characteristics of both parents—the outgoing, easily excited nature of the Chihuahua combined with the playful, loving demeanor of the Beagle. Cheagles are friendly, energetic dogs that form strong bonds with their families, often developing particularly close attachments to one or two people.

Typically weighing between 9 to 20 pounds and standing 9 to 14 inches tall, these compact companions pack plenty of personality into a small package. They are loyal, affectionate, alert, and watchful, making them excellent watchdogs who will readily alert their owners to anything unusual. These dogs often exhibit signature Chihuahua traits like fearless leaping and quick vocalization, alongside classic Beagle behaviors such as following their nose and being world-class nappers.

Cheagles thrive on attention and affection, loving to be part of family activities. They generally get along well with children, making them suitable for families. However, they can be stubborn and potentially vocal or territorial, which may present training challenges. Their intelligence is evident, but their independent streak means consistent, patient training is essential.
