On June 21st, 2022, my male labradoodle (chocolate) and female golden doodle (yellow) gave birth to a litter of puppies. 8 puppies are offered! 3 females, 5 males. -3 black, -3 caramel, and -2 apricot/cream As of June 28th, they are one week old, and at eight weeks old, they will be ready to go home. The litter will be CKC registered. -Mom and dad are both CKC registered. If you are interested, please CALL rather than text.
About the Double Doodle
The Double Doodle is an increasingly popular hybrid breed created by crossing a Goldendoodle with a Labradoodle, essentially combining the genetics of Golden Retrievers, Labrador Retrievers, and Poodles into one versatile, family-friendly package. This intentional multi-generational cross aims to produce dogs with the best traits of all three parent breeds: the gentle, patient nature of Golden Retrievers, the friendly enthusiasm of Labrador Retrievers, and the intelligence and low-shedding coat of Poodles. Double Doodles are renowned for their exceptional temperaments, displaying remarkable friendliness toward people of all ages, other dogs, and even cats when properly socialized, making them outstanding family companions and therapy dog candidates. Their high intelligence, inherited from their working dog ancestry, makes them highly trainable and eager to please, excelling in obedience training, agility, and various dog sports, though they can become bored with repetitive training and benefit from varied, engaging activities. The breed's coat is typically wavy to curly, ranging from loose waves to tight curls, and while often marketed as hypoallergenic, individual dogs vary in their shedding levels, with most being low to moderate shedders that require regular brushing and professional grooming every 6-8 weeks to prevent matting. Double Doodles are active dogs with moderate to high energy levels, requiring daily exercise including walks, play sessions, and mental stimulation to prevent destructive behaviors that can arise from boredom or pent-up energy. These social butterflies thrive on human companionship and don't do well when left alone for extended periods, potentially developing separation anxiety if not properly acclimated to alone time from puppyhood.
