The puppies are a mix of German Shepherd and Pitbull, with the father is a purebred German Shepherd and the mother is a mix of Pitbull and German Shepherd. They are well-behaved and have been introduced to solid foods and crate training. They will also receive worming treatment. The parents can be seen in the last two photos. A rehoming fee will apply.
About the German Pit
The German Pit, also known as the German Shepherd Pit Bull mix or Shepherd Pit, is a powerful hybrid that combines the German Shepherd's intelligence and working ability with the American Pit Bull Terrier's strength and determination. This large, muscular crossbreed inherits strong protective instincts from both parents, making them excellent guard dogs and loyal family protectors when properly trained and socialized. German Pits are highly intelligent and trainable, but they require an experienced owner who can provide firm, consistent leadership and early socialization. These dogs bond intensely with their families and can be wonderfully affectionate and gentle with children when raised together, though supervision is always recommended due to their size and strength. Their high energy levels demand substantial daily exercise—at least 60-90 minutes of vigorous activity including running, hiking, or participating in dog sports. Mental stimulation through training, puzzle toys, and interactive games is equally important to prevent boredom and destructive behaviors. German Pits excel at various activities including obedience, agility, protection work, and search and rescue. Their short to medium-length coat requires moderate grooming with weekly brushing, though shedding can be significant during seasonal changes. Due to breed-specific legislation in some areas, potential owners should research local laws regarding pit bull mixes. Health concerns may include hip and elbow dysplasia, bloat, allergies, and heart conditions from both parent breeds. Responsible breeding and regular veterinary care help minimize these risks. German Pits are not recommended for first-time dog owners or those unable to provide extensive exercise, training, and socialization.
