Hello, we have 3 beautiful irish wolfhound puppies available for good homes. Puppies born on October 10, and ready for new home on Christmas. Dad is AKC registered mom is not. We are selling these beautiful pups for $1,500 as pets only. First shots will be given. There are 2 males 1 female left.
About the Irish Wolfhound
The Irish Wolfhound is one of the tallest dog breeds in the world and an ancient Irish sighthound originally bred for hunting wolves and Irish elk. Despite their imposing size, these gentle giants are known for their calm, dignified temperament and sweet, patient nature. The breed motto 'gentle when stroked, fierce when provoked' captures their dual nature—peaceful companions who possess the courage and power of their hunting heritage. Irish Wolfhounds have rough, wiry coats in various colors including gray, brindle, red, black, white, and fawn. Their size requires significant space and they're not suited for apartment living. While not high-energy dogs, they need moderate daily exercise and secure areas to stretch their long legs. Tragically, Irish Wolfhounds have one of the shortest lifespans among dog breeds, typically only 6-8 years, with many developing heart disease or bone cancer. Their giant size means significant food costs and potential health expenses. Despite their gentle nature, their sheer size requires supervision around small children. These noble dogs are deeply devoted to their families and surprisingly sensitive for such large animals, responding best to gentle, positive training methods.
