F1B Labradoodle Puppies Standard Size born 5/2/22, ready for their forever homes. Vet checked, dewormed and vaccinated. Mother is a CKC registered F1 yellow labradoodle, father a CKC registered standard chocolate poodle. Chocolate $800 and $600 Black available. Parents are 60 and 65 lbs and genetically tested. About the Labradoodle
The Labradoodle is one of the most popular designer breeds, created by crossing the Labrador Retriever with the Poodle. Originally developed in Australia during the 1980s to create a hypoallergenic guide dog, the Labradoodle combines the Labrador's friendly, outgoing temperament with the Poodle's intelligence and low-shedding coat. Available in three sizes—Standard (50-65 lbs), Medium (30-45 lbs), and Miniature (15-25 lbs)—depending on whether a Standard, Miniature, or Toy Poodle was used in the cross. Their coat can range from wavy to curly, coming in various colors including cream, apricot, chocolate, black, parti-color, and phantom, with texture varying from fleece-like to wool-like depending on generation and genetics.
Labradoodles are known for their friendly, social personalities and enthusiastic approach to life. They inherit the Labrador's love of people and the Poodle's cleverness, creating highly trainable dogs that excel as family companions, therapy dogs, and service animals. These dogs are typically excellent with children, displaying patience and playfulness, and they generally get along well with other pets when properly socialized. Labradoodles are intelligent and eager to please, making them relatively easy to train with positive reinforcement methods. However, they can be exuberant and mouthy as puppies, requiring consistent training. Their social nature means they don't tolerate being left alone for long periods and thrive in homes where they can be included in family activities.
Prospective owners should understand that despite marketing claims, not all Labradoodles are hypoallergenic or non-shedding—coat type varies significantly even within the same litter, particularly in first-generation crosses. Regular grooming every 6-8 weeks is essential, along with daily brushing to prevent matting. These are energetic dogs requiring 60+ minutes of daily exercise through walks, play, swimming, or dog sports. Mental stimulation is equally important, as their intelligence means they can become bored and destructive without adequate engagement. Labradoodles are best suited to active families or individuals who can provide exercise, grooming maintenance, training, and plenty of companionship. For those prepared for their needs, Labradoodles offer devoted friendship, playful energy, and versatile companionship in a charming, teddy bear-like package.
