We are now taking deposits for our adorable Olde English Bulldogge Christmas puppies! There are four females left and one male. They're going to be ready to go the week before Christmas, or we can keep them until Christmas Eve. Call or text Lynn if Interested.
About the Olde English Bulldogge
The Olde English Bulldogge is a rare American breed created in the 1970s by David Leavitt, who sought to recreate the healthier, more athletic bulldogs of the 18th century. By crossing English Bulldogs, American Bulldogs, Bull Mastiffs, and American Pit Bull Terriers, Leavitt developed a dog with the classic bulldog appearance but without the extreme health issues plaguing modern English Bulldogs. The result is a more functional, athletic bulldog type.
These medium to large dogs are muscular and powerful with broad heads, strong jaws, and characteristic bulldog features, but with less extreme facial wrinkling and longer muzzles than English Bulldogs, allowing for better breathing. They're confident, alert, and courageous yet friendly and docile with family. Olde English Bulldogges are protective but not aggressive, making them excellent family guardians. They're more athletic and agile than their English Bulldog cousins.
These dogs require moderate daily exercise to maintain their muscular build and prevent obesity. They enjoy walks, play sessions, and can participate in various dog sports. While healthier than English Bulldogs, they can still be sensitive to extreme temperatures and should be monitored during hot weather. Their short coat requires minimal grooming. Olde English Bulldogges are generally good with children and can coexist with other pets when properly socialized. They need consistent, firm but gentle training from an early age. Best suited for families wanting a bulldog-type companion with improved health, athleticism, and temperament, these dogs offer the classic bulldog look with enhanced functionality and vitality.
