I have two tri-colored Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppies available for purchase. There is one male and one female puppy, with the darker one being the female and the male having more white markings. They were born on April 5th, 2023, making them six weeks old. These adorable puppies will be ready to go to their forever homes on May 31, 2023. You u can find their parents on-site. About the Pembroke Welsh Corgi
The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is a small herding breed that originated in Pembrokeshire, Wales, with ancestry dating back to at least the 10th century. Bred to herd cattle, sheep, and ponies, these low-slung dogs would nip at the heels of livestock and duck under kicks thanks to their short stature. The breed gained worldwide fame as the beloved companion of Queen Elizabeth II, who owned more than 30 Corgis during her reign, making them one of the most recognizable breeds globally.
These sturdy, low-set dogs have fox-like faces, erect ears, and naturally short or absent tails (distinguishing them from Cardigan Welsh Corgis, who have long tails). Their weather-resistant double coat comes in red, sable, fawn, or black and tan, often with white markings. Despite their short legs, Pembroke Corgis are surprisingly fast and athletic. They're intelligent, alert, and affectionate, with bold, outgoing personalities. Their herding heritage gives them tendencies to be vocal and to herd family members, especially children.
Pembrokes require moderate daily exercise to prevent obesity, a common issue in the breed. They excel in obedience, agility, and herding trials. Their thick coat sheds heavily year-round and even more during seasonal changes, requiring regular brushing. These intelligent dogs are highly trainable but can be independent and stubborn. They're generally good with children and other pets when socialized early. Corgis can be territorial and protective, making them excellent watchdogs. Best suited for active families who can provide mental stimulation, consistent training, and don't mind shedding and occasional stubbornness in exchange for a smart, devoted, entertaining companion.
