We have a puppy that is half Chihuahua and half Pomeranian. The mom is a blue Mural, and the dad is a tan, purebred Pomeranian. The puppy will come with its first shots and deworming. I'm asking for a non-negotiable fee of $250. You must pick up the puppy at Quick Trip in Abilene or at 711 in Hawley. All puppies and their parents are shown in the pictures. I'm asking for this adoption fee to ensure that my puppies are well cared for.
About the Pomchi
The Pomchi is a spirited designer breed that crosses the feisty Pomeranian with the devoted Chihuahua, creating one of the smallest hybrid dogs. This tiny companion combines the Pomeranian's fluffy beauty and outgoing personality with the Chihuahua's loyalty and sass, resulting in a bold, confident dog who doesn't realize its diminutive size. Pomchis typically weigh under 12 pounds but possess personalities far larger than their bodies suggest. Their appearance varies considerably—some inherit the Pomeranian's fluffy double coat while others display the Chihuahua's shorter, smoother coat. Common colors include tan, brown, black, white, and various combinations. These tiny dogs are incredibly devoted to their families, often bonding intensely with one or two people and becoming their constant shadows. They're alert and make excellent watchdogs, being quick to bark at anything unusual—though excessive barking can be an issue without proper training. Pomchis can be wary and even snippy with strangers, reflecting the protective nature of both parent breeds, so early socialization is crucial. While they can coexist with older, gentle children, Pomchis are generally not recommended for families with young kids due to their fragile size and tendency to be reactive when scared or overwhelmed. They often do best in adult-only households or with older children who understand gentle handling. Training can be challenging as both parent breeds are known for stubbornness and strong-willed personalities. Consistency, patience, and positive reinforcement are essential. Housetraining may be particularly difficult, as is common with tiny breeds. Exercise needs are minimal—15-20 minutes of daily activity through short walks and indoor play suffices, making them ideal for apartment living and seniors. Grooming requirements depend on coat type—longer coats need brushing several times weekly while shorter coats require minimal maintenance. Dental care is critical as toy breeds are highly prone to dental disease. Common health concerns include patellar luxation, collapsed trachea, hypoglycemia, heart problems, and dental issues. Pomchis are also sensitive to cold weather due to their small size. These tiny dogs can develop 'small dog syndrome' and separation anxiety if overly coddled. With proper training, socialization, and respect for their limitations, Pomchis make devoted companions for the right owners.
