We have two male Pomsky puppies, born in December 2024. They are healthy, up-to-date on all vaccinations and deworming, and have been well-socialized. Togo – Smokey-colored and striking, just like the dog from the movie Togo—but in a smaller, fluffier package! (Now adopted) Yuma – Cream-colored, slightly smaller, and has a calm, quiet personality. A real sweetheart. These pups have been raised around children and farm animals and get along great with other pets. They're ready for loving forever homes
About the Pomsky
The Pomsky is one of the most popular designer breeds, combining the Pomeranian's compact size and fluffy coat with the Siberian Husky's striking appearance and energetic personality. Created through artificial insemination (due to size differences between parents), Pomskies emerged in the early 2010s and quickly gained popularity for their adorable 'miniature husky' appearance. These small to medium dogs typically display the Husky's distinctive facial markings, blue or bi-colored eyes, and wolf-like features, scaled down to a more manageable size with the Pomeranian's fluffiness. However, size and appearance can vary considerably depending on which parent they favor—some may be closer to Pomeranian size while others approach small Husky proportions. Pomskies inherit the energetic, playful nature of both parent breeds, requiring substantial daily exercise—at least 45-60 minutes of activity including walks, play, and mental stimulation. They're intelligent and can excel at dog sports like agility, but training can be challenging due to the stubborn, independent nature of both parents. The Husky's notorious independence combined with the Pomeranian's sass creates a dog that's smart but may choose when to obey. Consistent, patient training with positive reinforcement is essential, starting from puppyhood. Pomskies are typically friendly and social when properly socialized, getting along well with children and other pets. However, they can be vocal—very vocal—inheriting the Husky's tendency to talk, howl, and vocalize combined with the Pomeranian's alertness and barking. This can be problematic in apartments or close living quarters. They also possess high prey drives and may chase small animals. Their stunning double coat requires significant grooming commitment—brushing at least 3-4 times weekly, with daily brushing during heavy seasonal shedding twice yearly. Professional grooming may be needed periodically. Common health concerns include hip dysplasia, eye problems, patellar luxation, and dental issues. Pomskies often inherit the Pomeranian's dental fragility requiring regular care. These dogs are best suited for active individuals or families who can provide extensive exercise, consistent training, and significant grooming time. They're not recommended for first-time owners or those seeking a quiet, low-maintenance companion. With proper care, socialization, and outlets for their energy, Pomskies make beautiful, entertaining companions.
