There are eight purebred pug puppies available. Both parents on site. Mom is AKC reg. and Dad is ACA reg. They had three black boys and two black girls, as well as one fawn girl and one black girl. They've been examined by a veterinarian and are wormed with a vet wormer. Before they go for their future home, they'll get their first round of shots. I love these puppies and want them to have the best possible environment.
About the Pug
The Pug is an ancient toy breed with a rich history dating back over 2,000 years to China, where they were treasured companions of emperors and Buddhist monks. Recognizable by their distinctive wrinkled face, large expressive eyes, and compact, cobby body, Pugs are the ultimate companion dogs who live for human attention and affection. Their charming personality combines a clownish sense of humor with surprising dignity, earning them the Latin motto 'multum in parvo' meaning 'a lot of dog in a small space.' Despite their small stature, Pugs possess big personalities and an even bigger capacity for love.
These adaptable dogs thrive in various living situations, from apartments to houses, making them ideal city pets. Pugs are naturally sociable and typically get along wonderfully with children, other dogs, and even cats, displaying minimal aggression. Their moderate energy level means they're content with short walks and play sessions, followed by extensive couch time with their favorite humans. However, as a brachycephalic breed with a shortened muzzle, Pugs require special care in hot weather and should never be over-exercised.
Their short, double coat sheds considerably despite its length, requiring regular brushing to manage loose hair. Pugs are generally easy to live with, though housetraining can be challenging and they have a stubborn streak. They're not particularly known for obedience, but their desire to please and food motivation make training possible with patience and consistency. These devoted companions form incredibly strong bonds with their families and may suffer from separation anxiety if left alone too long.
