We have a bunch of Mastador puppies who are a mix of silver lab and American mastiff. They were born on January 29th, which means they will be 9 weeks old this Monday. It was quite a surprise for us as we had just welcomed our own baby a month before the puppies arrived. We really want to find loving homes for these adorable pups, so we will be asking for a rehoming fee to ensure they go to good families. There are 3 boys and 4 girls, each with their own unique personalities. They are incredibly playful and great with people. Unfortunately, with our new baby, we are unable to give them the attention they deserve. If you're interested, please feel free to text me for more details or additional photos. About the Mastador
The Mastador is a large designer breed created by crossing the English Mastiff with the Labrador Retriever, combining the gentle giant temperament of the Mastiff with the friendly, outgoing nature of the Labrador. This impressive hybrid inherits the best qualities from both parent breeds: the Mastiff's calm, protective instincts and the Labrador's intelligence, trainability, and love of family. As a relatively recent designer breed, individual Mastadors can vary in appearance and temperament depending on which parent breed they favor, though most display a powerful, muscular build with a friendly, approachable expression.
Despite their imposing size, Mastadors are known for being gentle, affectionate companions who form deep bonds with their families. They typically inherit the Labrador's sociable nature, making them more outgoing than purebred Mastiffs, while retaining the Mastiff's natural guarding instincts and protective devotion. These dogs are generally patient and tolerant with children, though supervision is essential due to their massive size. Mastadors are intelligent and respond well to positive reinforcement training, though early socialization is crucial to ensure they develop into well-mannered adults who can distinguish between normal activity and genuine threats.
Potential owners should be prepared for a dog that requires significant space, resources, and commitment. Mastadors need moderate daily exercise to maintain healthy weight and prevent boredom, though they are not as high-energy as purebred Labradors. Their grooming needs are moderate, with regular brushing required to manage shedding. Like many large breeds, Mastadors can be prone to hip dysplasia and bloat, requiring careful feeding schedules and veterinary monitoring.
